Sources: JSS News (Reportage vidéo sur le dernier hôtel 5 étoiles de Gaza) and Spanish TV (video, report begins at approx. 18 minutes)

A 5-star hotel was inaugurated last week in the Gaza strip, the "huge open air prison, which suffers from a chronic lack of basics".  The luxury hotel boasts 200 rooms, 68 staff members (they hope to double the figure within a year), and a huge swimming pool (reserved for male patrons), filled with water which in such dire shortage in the Gaza "concentration camp".

Oddly, the Spanish TV chain does not diclose the name of the owner or the name of the hotel.  But it looks like the Mövenpick... The hotel will be managed by a Spanish hotel group.

Lets please keep in mind that most of the people who will be visiting this hotel are wealthy Gazan's and not your average person. Also, the humanitarian conditions in Gaza have been well documented.

So, who decided to build this luxury hotel? And who is documenting the conditions in Gaza so well? I think someone may be telling a few "porky pies" about the so-called suffering in the media, don't you? Show us the pictures of the malnurished Gazans. All we seem to see are well-stocked markets, shopping malls, olympic sized swimming pools, water parks, restaurants, etc. etc. Not much of a prison camp is it?

I thought they couldn't get cement. So cement for building luxury hotels and malls they can get but cement for building homes damaged in the war they can't?
